'Every Child is an Artist' .... Pablo Picasso

I've been a FAN of watercolor painting
for many years. I'm not a pro, but I would
love to share some how to's and
tutorials about learning the ART.

Watercolor Flowers

I first painted the pot.   Starting at the top lip and then adding
the lower area.    I then added the light green leaves, in a light wash.

I added the pot highlights with a bit of dark brown.    Added the
brown coloring below the pot.

Next came the darker green stems, and then the red flowers with
just a dab of orange after the red was done.     I also added some
petals on the ground, with just a light dab of color.   Looks more
realistic that way.

From the tip of the flowers to the brown highlight the size is 3.75 "

The best part of painting flowers is you can make up your OWN flowers.
These are not any particular flower, just a dabbling of colors.
I scanned this into my computer and added the red border in a graphics
program.   The idea to scan in paintings is you can drop them into a
Word doc and re-size to a preferred size.    Once you save the Word file,
cards can be printed over and over from your 1 painting.
